I loved any experiment which you had to wear safety goggles for. You know you’re in for something cool when you need to protect yourself!

      Hello!

While at school, definitely when we had to put on our lab coats on and mix things which would change colour (when we did it right) or eventually explode in the lab (when we did it wrong).

I loved the days when we were in the lab – normally mixing chemicals. I enjoyed the experiments where there was an unknown chemical to identify

Unfortunately, I didn’t have any labs in my high-school to get excited about, but my chemistry teacher was hilarious and studying reactions and going to the blackboard to work through them with him was like a cabaret show every time!

Blowing up hydrogen-oxygen balloons! I remember once being put in charge of an open evening at my high school (I still have no idea why), and spending the entire evening trying to get the perfect mix of hydrogen & oxygen. Found a very small room to explode the ‘perfect’ balloon in and managed to shake the entire building (at least that’s how I remember it!). I was very proud of myself, even if I did get into quite a bit of trouble for it :-p
