I was pretty good, in Italy we don’t have A levels or GCSE qualifications, we have a final exam at the end of the highschool with all the subjects in it, and I took 89/100.
Of course I had better subjects and worse subjects! I studied ancient greek for 5 years in the highschool and I was ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE at translating it! 😛
I usually did pretty good at coursework but tended to screw up in exams. In fact, I got a ‘D’ in my A-level maths! Fortunately I got pretty high grades in everything else, so it just meant I had to work hard to redeem myself at university.
It just goes to show that everyone learns differently, so it’s important to find out what works best for you and go with it!
We have a different system where I studied (Brazil), but I had highest possible scores in all subjects, except sports. And after growing up I turned out to be quite a sportsy person, the irony!
