Using them for the school is fair enough considering that we wouldn’t be here talking if the school were not participating to this event, but I tried to approach the issue on a different way.

We already have you here enrolled in the event, so we have a list of interested students and teachers. With the amount of money that I could possibly have available, it’s not realistic for me to build something big for every school, but after you made us compete I can make YOU compete!
In my plan, I can send small materials to the classrooms, or getting the classrooms to use what they already have available in a different way, to build crystals. Then you can send proof of your work to me, and I can get different researchers in the university to vote it.
The most of the money will be use to bring the winning classroom (or just some students of the class) HERE at the University of Edinburgh to use real research equipment to complete their “Hand-on Material Science activity”!

The students are always at school, I think it would be nice to use the money to bring them OUT of school to do something that they couldn’t possibly do without I’m A Scientist! 😀
