      I think that a cooking microwave oven will be my winner forever, I made a material inside that and it actually worked!

      Another really random thing was a really little magnet from meccano that I used in a synchrotron to align my crystal with the magnetic field and do the experiment properly!

      I have used duct tape here and there, but I guess at his point this isn’t random, but expected! 🙂

      I have used hair ties to arrange cables before when I was an undergrad and we ran out of cable ties.
